She graduated from Leon Gaudchaux High School in 1945 then obtained a degree in business education from Southwestern Louisiana Institute (SLI.) She was always willing to help anyone at any time and managed to have fun doing whatever it was she set out to do. She enjoyed sewing, especially needle work and making beautiful wedding veils for many family members.
Janice was also very active in her faith. She served as a lector for many years at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Crowley and most recently was an active member of the St. Michael Altar Society, the Lay Carmelite and Ladies Rosary Group. She enjoyed playing weekly card games of bridge and bourré with her friends. She traveled extensively through the years and was always ready for adventure. She loved nothing more than being with friends and family.
