Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 2:00 pm for Chance Michael Leger, 9, who died Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA.

Surviving are his father, Brent Leger of Church Point, mother, Tara Richard of Rayne, sister, Madison Leger of Rayne, maternal grandparents, Jerry and Doretta Gaspard of Rayne, paternal grandmother, Judy Leger of Rayne, paternal grandfather, James Leger of Rayne.

He was a 4th grade student at Mire Elementary School in Mire, LA.

Friends will be received at First Baptist Church in Rayne, LA on Friday, April 8, 2016, from 5:30 pm until the service time on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 2:00 pm.

Irabelle Martin Henderson, 100, of Russellville, formerly of Crowley, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Legacy Heights Nursing Home in Russellville.
She was born Aug. 8, 1915, in Acadia Parish to Henry Edgar and Nellie Clayton Moseley. While living in Crowley, she worked as a doctor’s assistant and in home health care. She was a member of the Northside Assembly of God in Crowley and attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Ellis. She loved crocheting, quilting, baking bread and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Albert Martin and J.C. Henderson; two sons, Byron and Johnny Martin; a stepdaughter, Margaret Maas; four brothers, Roy, Cloyd, Garnet and Bobby Moseley; two sisters, Della Rucks and Thelma Hoffpauir; and one grandson, Byron Dale Martin.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Jolene Martin of Russellville, Wendell and Florence Martin of Crowley and Mickey and Beth Martin of Leicester, North Carolina; a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Pearl Moseley of DeQuincy; a sister, Stella Labbe of Lake Charles; two daughters-in-law, Arlene and Carole Martin, both of Crowley; a sister-in-law, Elaine Moseley of Lake Charles; 14 grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and Gary Churchill of Dover, Steve and Becky Martin of London, Andy Martin of Russellville, Micah and Cindy Martin of Lawrence, Kansas, Susan Martin of Crowley, Melanie and Gordon Morgan of Crowley, Bubba and Lisa Martin of Crowley, Barry and Rachel Martin of Rayne, Danny and Kim Martin of Youngsville, Stephanie and Kurt Landry of Crowley, Chad and Nichole Martin of Baton Rouge, Gretchen and Joshua Cormier of Crowley, Glen and Christine Martin of Leicester and Will and Jennifer Martin of Leicester; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a step-daughter, Esther Henderson of Crowley; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley with Rev. Loyd Singley officiating. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to the time of service.
Interment will be in Maxie Cemetery with Rev. Gerard Morgan officiating.

Russell LeBlanc Smith

Russell was born in Jennings on Aug. 15, 1940, to Woodrow Smith and Evelyn Smith. He was called to his Heavenly Father on April 5, 2016, at the age of 75. Russell served our country honorably in the Army during the Vietnam War. He continued his career with the Army for 22 years until his retirement. He also worked as a heating and AC tech until he retired. Russell loved being outdoors, and gardening. He also loved sports, especially, football, the Saints and LSU. Russell loved spending time with his family, his five Chihuahuas, but Brianna Simon, his granddaughter that he raised as his own, was the light of his life. Russell was loved by many and will be tremendously missed by all.
Russell is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah L. Smith of Estherwood; one son, Valerian Smith (Sharon) of Crowley; three step-daughters, Geralyn LaComb of Egan, Jennifer Godwin (Brian) of San Antonio, Texas, and Melissa Simon of Estherwood; two grandchildren, James Smith and Cain Smith; eight step-grandchildren, Nicholas Simon, Brianna Simon, Karlie Godwin, Miranda Godwin, Nika Gamez (Anthony), David Sass (Taylor), Chris Gass (Taran), Blaceson Gass; six step great-grandchildren, Abrial Gamez, Talon Gamez, Gracyn Gass, Aselyn Gass, Ivy Gass, Eli Gass. two brothers, Irvin “Choppy” Smith (Sylvia) of Mermentau and Hilliard “T-Man” Smith (Judy) of Mermentau Cove; and two sisters, Gail LeBlanc (Larsen) of Mermentau and Geraldine S. Marceaux (Deenie) of Mermentau.
Russell is preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Evelyn Smith; one brother, Hilton “Tanny” Smith; his first wife, Thelma Smith; and one son, Kevin Smith.
Funeral services for Russell LeBlanc Smith, 75, of Estherwood, will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home on Friday, April 8, at 1 p.m. with Father Randall Moreau officiating. Visitation began at Matthews & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, April 7, from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday, April 8, at 8 a.m. until the time of his service at 1 p.m. Russell will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Iota with full military rites.
Carrying Russell to his final resting place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery will be James Smith, Kain Smith, David Gass, Nicholas Simon, Chris Gass and Blaceson Gass.

Mr. Reginald R. Harmon (Butch), 57, died on April 12, 2016, at his home in Crowley.
Butch was reared in Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Crowley. He will be remembered for his big and joyous heart and infectious laugh. He was always willing to help anyone in any way he could. He cherished the time he spent with his mother (Lulla) and always made sure she had everything she needed. He was an avid football fan. He enjoyed entertaining at home and playing his extensive music collection for his family and friends. His hobbies included traveling, shopping and sight-seeing.
He was a 1976 graduate of Crowley High School. After his education, he was immediately employed by Capital Manufacturing until his demise. He was employed as a machine operator for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Magdalene Harmon (Lulla); grandparents, Lou Ella Harmon and Murrell Harmon; his surrogate grandparents, Mary and Leon Rogers; and aunts and uncles, Mary Louise Webster, Leon Rogers Jr., Ollie Rogers, David Rogers, Alzina Hebert and Lois Hunter.
He leaves to those who will be most profoundly deprived of the warmth of Butch’s pleasing personality and the strength of his noble character, Margaret J. Young; Betty J. Payne (Raymond), Bertrand Blackwell (Beverly), Helen Williams, Mary Lee Harmon, Gloria C. Rogers; godchild, Curley J. Young II (Keeyada) and their children, Kylin, London and Landon; Ashleigh Young; and numerous relatives and friends.

LAFAYETTE – Memorial services celebrating the life of Zoia Olivier will be held on Saturday, April 23, at Victory Tabernacle Church, 446 North Sterling Street, Lafayette, beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Mike Bassemier will officiate the services.
Zoia Olivier, 59, entered eternal rest on Friday, April 8, 2016, at Rayne Guest Home in Rayne. Zoia was the daughter of Hubert Elwood Olivier Sr. and Dorothy Jean Evans Olivier. She was born in Shreveport but was a resident of Egan and called it home. Zoia was a hard worker and was truly dedicated to her family and meeting their needs. She was an independent woman raising her children and grandchild in a loving home. Taking care of others made her home a welcoming place. She was known for a spotless and tidy home. Zoia enjoyed the outdoors and keeping her lawn and flowers appealing to the eye.
Zoia Olivier leaves a wonderful legacy to be cherished by three children, Matthew Lavergne of Egan, Josh Levergne of Paragould, Arkansas, and Summer Levergne of Egan; a granddaughter that she was caring for, Ah’mya Levergne of Lafayette; one brother, Hubert (Meri) Olivier Jr. of Lafayette; grandchildren, Gracie Crochet and Melonie Crochet, both of Evangeline; one nephew, Jerret Olivier; and one niece, Christina Abshire of Iota. Zoia also leaves footprints on the hearts of a large circle of family, friends and extended family.

Byron Keith Reese was born in Gueydan on March 20, 1978, to Melvin Keith Breaux and Donna Reese Breaux and was called to his Heavenly Father on April 13, 2016.
Byron loved the outdoors, he loved hunting, boating and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, as well as riding around in his truck. Byron was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Byron is survived by his father, Keith Breaux of Gueydan; his wife, Melinda Duhon Reese of Egan; his son, Cullen Perrodin of Houma; his daughter, Kailey Perrodin of Lydia; his stepdaughter, Olivia Covert of Pennsylvania; his brother, Ryan Keith Breaux of Gueydan; his grandson, Channing Gaspard of Lydia.
Byron was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Reese Breaux.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Byron Keith Reese, 38, of Egan, was held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Gueydan on Saturday, April 16, at 11 a.m. with Father Corey Campeaux officiating. A gathering of family and friends was held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Jennings beginning on Friday, April 15, from 2:30 p.m. until the time of his Funeral Mass, with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. on Friday evening.
Byron was laid to rest in Gueydan Cemetery.

Robert “Wayne” Sonnier, 72, a resident of Morse, was entrusted to God’s loving care on Thursday, April 14, 2016, in Lake Charles.
Wayne was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. His family held him in the highest esteem. His family was precious to him. He was indeed the cornerstone of this family.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 22 years, Roberta Thibodeaux Sonnier of Morse; sons, Brent Sonnier (JoEllen) and Tommy Sonnier, all of Welsh; stepson; Toby Matt ( Danica) of Houma and Wesley Matte ( Nastasha) of Chesapeake, Virginia; daughter, Shelly Sonnier (Troy) of Welsh; sister, Beverly Landry (Lee Adam) of Lacassine; grandchildren, Brittany, Meagan, Julian, Jason, Chloe, Tabitha, T.J., Mya, Leutry, Eleana, Timothy and Alex. Wayne is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Cyrus Sonnier and Beulah Guillory Sonnier; and two brothers, Jimmy and Charles Sonnier.
A memorial service will commence at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh on Sunday, April 17, at 11 a.m. until Christian service time at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Deacon Wayne Chapman will officiate. A private burial will follow. Words of comfort may be expressed at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.

Andrew Ray Guidry was born in Jennings on Sept. 15, 1985, to Darryll Guidry and Genia Stephenson Guidry. He was called to his Heavenly Father on April 16, 2016. Andrew loved to play the drums and was an avid football fan. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Andrew is survived by his parents, Darryll and Genia Guidry of Mermentau; his sister, Ashley Guidry of Mermentau; his grandmother, Sam Cormier of Groves, Texas; and one nephew, Bentley Mahaffey of Mermentau.
Andrew was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ray Allen Cormier, John Wallace Stephenson and Andy John Guidry; and grandmother, Marie Wright Guidry.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Andrew Ray Guidry, 30, of Mermentau will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Mermentau on Tuesday, April 19, at 10 a.m. with Reverend Charles McMillin officiating. A gathering of family and friends was held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Jennings beginning on Monday, April 18, from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. on Monday evening. The family requests that visitation resume on Tuesday, April 19, at 8 a.m. Andrew will be laid to rest in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 21, at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Lafayette for Patti Jane Mayeux Ardoin, 73, who died peacefully and unexpectedly on Monday, April 18, 2016, at her residence in Lafayette.
Entombment will be in Fountain Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Lafayette.
Reverend Michael J. Russo, pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Lafayette, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services, con-celebrated by Reverend Manny Fernandez and Reverend Brian Webre. Lectors will be Dr. Mark Broussard, Dr. Gus Ingraldi and Mrs. Genevieve Ingraldi. Giftbearers will be Ashley Veillon, Sarah Veillon and Zachary Duhon.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Phillip Sewell Ardoin and his wife Valerie of Houston, Texas; four daughters, Mary Monette Ardoin of Lafayette, Nicole Ardoin Crochet and her husband Jason of Lafayette, Dr. Danielle Ardoin Dore’ and her husband Kevin of Lafayette and Jewel Ardoin Beumel and her husband Kirk of Ruston; four grandchildren, Ashley Jene’t Ardoin, Christopher Ellis Ardoin, Crystal Nicole Ardoin and Christine Noel Dore’; two great-grandchildren, Gavin Michael Wesley Beck and Thomas Steven Bodden; and one sister, Dolores Mayeux Savant and her husband Burnell of Lafayette.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Wesley Hilton Ardoin; and her parents, Clarence and Maxie Foret Mayeux.
Patti was a Roman Catholic and member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Lafayette, Louisiana. She, along with her family, was a member of the Brides of the Most Blessed Trinity, an Apostolate dedicated to prayer and sacrifice for priests.
Pallbearers will be Noel Whittington, Michael Duhon, Brian Veillon, Scott Vandenberghe, Nicholas Duhon and Andrew Veillon.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason Andrew Crochet, Kevin Todd Dore’, Christopher Ellis Ardoin, Phillip Sewell Ardoin and Burnell Paul Savant.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille’s SOUTHSIDE location on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 8 a.m. until time of the service.
A Rosary will be prayed Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Michael Kibodeaux, 64, at 2 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Crowley on Wednesday, April 20, with Rev. Mikel Polson as celebrant. The family has requested that visitation be held at Duhon Funeral Home-Crowley Chapel from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m. and will resume on Wednesday at 8 a.m. until just prior to the service time. Interment will follow the church service and will be in Hanks Cemetery NORTH. Mr. Kibodeaux passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at his residence in Crowley.
Mike was a native and lifelong resident of Crowley; enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, friends and his favorite pet “Piper”.
Mr. Kibodeaux is survived by his children, Allison Kibodeaux of La Marque, Texas, Tina Kubes and her husband Michael of La Marque, Joshua Kibodeaux and his wife Chalasie of Rayne and Brooke Falgout and her husband Trey of Lafayette; grandchildren, Shayna Kibodeaux, Jaiden Benoit, Alaziah Kibodeaux, Tallan Kibodeaux, Aidan Adams, Viviana Kibodeaux and Evangeline Falgout; brother, Donald Kibodeaux and his wife Vickie of Crowley; as well as one sister, Merline Wright (John Korn) of Hackberry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanville Kibodeaux Jr. and Cecile Daigle Kibodeaux; and brother, Allen Kibodeaux.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Venable, Kenny Lucero, Wayne Melancon, Dereck Kibodeaux, Trey Falgout and Mylon Schexnider. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Kubes and Donald Kibodeaux.

A memorial service will be held at Northside Assembly of God in Crowley on Thursday. April 21, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for Edward “Poncho” Simon, 60, who passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 16, 2016.
He was born Oct. 3, 1955, in Gueydan to Hilda LeBouef Simon and the late Rayal Simon. He was a lifelong resident of Lyons Point, Louisiana. He enjoyed playing the drums in his younger days with his brother and many other musicians. His lifelong career was driving 18-wheelers.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Paulette Broussard Simon; two daughters, Megan Simon Broussard (Kevin Thibodeaux) and Marisa Simon Sonnier (David Sonnier II); one son, Slade Simon; three beautiful grandchildren, Kristen “Krissy” Broussard, Kaylin “KK” Broussard and Kylin “T-Ky” Thibodeaux; his mother-in-law, Eunice Broussard; one brother, Edmond “T-Boy” Simon (Jean); four sisters, Lena Mire (Herman), Alverna Wright (Mike), Lynette Gaspard and Denise Lantier (Ray); his godchildren, Jody Mire, Denise Simon, Jan Wright and Garan Crader; along with a host of nieces, nephews and his trucking family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Rayal Simon; his paternal grandparents, Duperville and Laurence Comeaux Simon; his maternal grandparents, Robert and Evelina Bertrand LeBouef; and his son-in-law, Robert “Robbie” Broussard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 25, at 2 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morse for Clanes “B” Richard, 80, who passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016, at 2:50 p.m. at the Gueydan Memorial Guest Home in Gueydan.
Fr. Clint Trahan, pastor of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morse will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in Abshire Cemetery in Rural Kaplan.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Sunday, April 24, at 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Monday, April 25, at 8 a.m. until time of services.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Rosa Richard of Morse; two daughters, Donna Richard and fiancé Mack Lantier of Morse and Roxane and husband Eric Bergeron of Crowley; five grandchildren, Christopher and wife Tara Abshire of Crowley, Kevin and wife Tara Abshire of Gueydan, Blaine and wife Brittney Abshire of Lyons Point, Christian and husband Tyler Carlson of Morse and Eric Bergeron and fiancé Leslie Gagneaux of Baton Rouge; and eight great-grandchildren, Laila, Raimi, Liam, Eli and Hayden Abshire, Hunter Trahan, Madison Vincent, and Luke Carlson.
Mr. B was preceded in death by his parents, Amady and Eda Richard; three brothers, Louis, Eldes and Dallas Richard; and two sisters, Delta Clement and Electa Benoit.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 30, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Crowley for Myrtle Grace Duhon Frugé, 89, who died April 16, 2016, in Lake Charles.
Fr. Matthew Higginbotham, pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, officiated the services. The family requested visiting hours be held at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley Friday, April 29, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 Friday evening. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Frugé was a proud founding member of the Calcasieu Parish Chapter of the Southwest Louisiana Master Gardener Program (Charter Class of 2001). She was also a dedicated member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Lake Charles.
She is survived by two sons, Woodley Frugé and his wife Mary Frugé, and Ernest Frugé, Ph.D., and his wife Christine Adams, Ph.D.; five grandchildren, Jon, Evan, Amelia, Anne and Christopher; and two great-grandchildren, Brycen and Ciana Grace.
Mrs. Frugé is preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Frugé; her parents, Erista and Enna Breaux Duhon; her paternal grandparents, Luke and Elizabeth Monte Duhon; and her maternal grandparents, Theophille and Celise Vincent Breaux.
Pallbearers will be Jon Frugé, Evan Frugé, Wavey Martin, Katry Martin, Marion Martin and J.J. Window.

Billy James Manuel

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 26, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home, Iota for Billy James Manuel, 65, who died Thursday, April 21, 2016, at 9:50 p.m.
Billy was a native of Oberlin and longtime resident of Richey. He was a drilling consultant at the time of his death and for 46 years traveled all over the world with his work in the oil industry. He loved to deer and duck hunt and enjoyed the occasional round of golf. He enjoyed spending time on his tractor and being home on his patio with family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Pastor Gary Dardar, pastor of River of Life Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Monday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to service time. Burial will be in St. Joseph Mausoleum in Iota.
Billy is survived by his wife of 45 years, Karen Pousson Manuel of Eunice; one daughter, Kylie M. Mitchell and husband Elliot of Crowley; two sons, Mardy James Manuel and wife Kristi of Iota and Ryan Joseph Manuel and wife Jill of Eunice; one sister, Maxine West of Eunice; two brothers, Karl Manuel of Eunice and Chris Manuel of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren, Skylar Manuel, Ashlyn Manuel, Erika Manuel, Alayna Manuel, Madison Manuel, Allie Manuel, Evan Mitchell, Carson Mitchell and Dillan Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubay and Yvonne Leger Manuel.
Pallbearers will be Connor Bergeron, Cameron Bergeron, Tommy Pousson, Glenn Pousson, Chris Manuel and Harold Breaux.

Ida Lewis Cuccio

Ida Lewis Cuccio departed her earthly life in the early morning hours of April 24, 2016, at her home in Egan, with family members at her bedside. Ida was born on Sept. 21, 1930, in Abbeville, the youngest of 10 children born to William and Laura Lee Lewis.
She resided in Crowley as an adult, at which time she was married to Wilmer “Rass” Rasmussen. Crowley residents may remember her as Ida Rasmussen, where she served as a teacher’s aide at Crowley High School during the ’70s.
Ida was a member of St. Michael Chapel in Egan, Telephone Pioneers of America, Egan Volunteer Fire Department, where she was secretary-treasurer, Acadia General Hospital Ladies Auxillary, Acadiana Sportsman League, where she served on the board of directors, and Beta Sigma Phi.
Ida had a love of traveling, and she visited 49 of the 50 states. For many years she and Guy traveled with their RV to enjoy group activities with their friends.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Guy A. Cuccio Sr. of Egan; two daughters, Connie Joseph of Egan and Faith McCain and husband David of Lake Charles; three sons, Michael Rasmussen and wife Gee Gee of Matthews, North Carolina, Bill Rasmussen and wife Helen of Shreveport and Brian Rasmussen and wife Ann of Fairhope, Alabama; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, W. J. “Rass” Rasmussen; her parents, William and Laura Lee Lewis; and her nine siblings.
Fr. Jude Thierry, pastor of St. Michael Chapel-Egan, will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. A rosary will be recited Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas Rasmussen, Alex Rasmussen, David McCain, Mike Willeford, Joey Cuccio and Sam Cuccio.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Michael Chapel in Egan.

Graveside services were held Monday, April 25, at 10 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery for Paul Breaux, 66, who died Friday, April 22, 2016.
Paul worked with USDA GIPSA FGIS in Crowley for 21 years, where he began his career as an Agriculture Commodity Aid then became an Agriculture Grain Grader until his retirement. Everyone who’d ever had the privilege of meeting or working with him, always found him to be a very special person. Paul will be deeply missed, leaving behind for us many fond memories.
Fr. Matthew Higginbotham, pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, officiated for the services.
Paul is survived by one sister, Susan Breaux of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norris and Lorraine Martiny Breaux.

She is survived by four sons, Jerry Stutes and his wife Alice of Egan, Byron Stutes Sr. and his wife Rosalyn of Iota, Harold Stutes Sr. of Rayne and Darrell Stutes and his wife Johnna of Carencro; one sister, Barbara Landry and her husband Chester of Iowa; two brothers, James Kibodeaux and his wife Vickie of Crowley and Albert Kibodeaux and his wife Charmaine of Egan; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Judy is preceded in death by her first husband, Sweeney P. Stutes Jr.; her second husband, Rufus M. Lacroix Sr.; her parents, Adam and Viola Clement Kibodeaux; one brother, Kenneth Kibodeaux; niece, Crystal Kibodeaux; nephew, Nathanial Kibodeaux, and two great-grandchildren, Parker Daigle, and Keaghyn Parsons.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 29, at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Hannah Joyce Sarver Grado, 67, who died April 25, 2016, in Lafayette.
Deacon Phil Lazote will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to the time of services. Interment will be in St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Abbeville.
Hannah was born in Crowley and resided in Lafayette. She graduated from St. Michael High School in 1966; she attended Louisiana Technical College earning a certificate in business and a diploma in nursing. Hannah then attended Louisiana State University at Eunice earning certification as a paramedic; one of the first women in Louisiana to obtain that certification. She spent most of her life caring for psychiatric patients at American Legion Hospital, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and then Cypress Hospital. Hannah then retired from the Lafayette Parish School Board as a nurse.
She is survived by one son, Chad Mitchell LaComb of Lafayette; and a godchild, Valarie “Cricket” Benoit.
Hannah is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Laura Autin Sarver.
