Leslie Ann Hebert-Velasquez was born on September 3, 1977 in Crowley, Louisiana to Minos and Lena Richard Hebert. She passed away surrounded by her loving family on August 3, 2016. Growing up in Louisiana, she loved her French-Cajun Heritage, to include the food and the music. During her time in Crowley High School she served as drum major and was able to enhance her natural art talent. She graduated from Crowley High School in 1995, and then attended school at the Art Institute in Houston, Texas.
She got a job with the Louisiana advertising agency, AD Ideas, that led to her move to San Antonio, Texas in 1997. Leslie devoted 19 years as senior graphic designer, working on several major projects.
In 2003, Leslie met John Velasquez while having coffee at a local Starbucks. They were married two years later, and together had their daughter, Lily Ann. Being a mother was the highlight of Leslie’s life. She was adoring, loving, patient, yet stern. All the qualities a mother should have. Her life with John led to several adventures traveling the world. Together, they visited Italy, Toronto, Mexico, Memphis, and Green Bay. She loved to explore and learn the rich history of the world that surrounded her.

A beautiful woman, lost too soon. Her husband will continue to fulfill her goals of raising their child to be strong and passionate in her own endeavors in life.
