BEATRICE O. LEONARDS
AUGUST 13, 1925 – FEBRUARY 13, 2016

EUNICE- Our hearts are heavy as we have lost a very loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Beatrice O. Leonards on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Acadian Medical Center. She was 90. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, February 15, 2016 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata. Entombment will follow in the St. Lawrence Mausoleum with Father Joseph Tran, Celebrant.
 Beatrice was a dedicated parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was a life-long member of the Catholic Daughters, Ladies Altar Society, and the Pink Ladies. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her three sons, Dickie Leonards and wife, Myrtis of Livonia, Don Leonards and wife, Deborah of Eunice, and Gene Leonards and wife, Colleen of Eunice; her brother, Ray Olinger and wife, Johnnie of Roberts Cove; her two sisters, Rose Marie John of Crowley and Mary Jo Olinger of Roberts Cove; her eight grandchildren, Gary Leonards, Lana Rodriguez, Andrea Ziegenbusch, Kevin Leonards, James Leonards, Christopher Leonards, Drake Leonards, and Casey Leonards; and 12 great grandchildren.
 She is preceded in death by her husband, August Leonards, Jr.; parents, Edward and Josephine Dischler Olinger; brothers, Ambrose Olinger and Hilary Olinger; and sister, Irene Petitjean.
 At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, February 14th from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Monday, February 15th from 8:00 am until 10:30 am. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Sunday evening with The Catholic Daughters in attendance.

Glynne Farrar Gillentine

It’s with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Glynne Gillentine announces his passing from this life on Feb. 12, 2016.
Glynne was born on Dec. 25, 1936, in Crowley, to Jewell Gillentine and Gladys Seward Gillentine. Glynne was a Woodmen of the World and a past Master of the Masonic Order. He loved attending church at Gueydan Methodist Church, where he was a member.
Glynne worked for the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office as well as the Gueydan Police Department and the Gueydan Museum. He was also a volunteer firefighter for over 50 years; he was a life member. Glynne loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed woodworking, making duck calls, and building wood duck boxes. Glynne will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Glynne is survived by one son, Gene Gillentine (Theresa) of Gueydan; one daughter, Glena Gaspard (Donald) of Gueydan; one sister, Jane Hair of Gueydan; five grandchildren, Toshya Ryder, Jacqueline Richard, Jenna Daniels, Julia Faulk and Jacob Gillentine; and five grea-grandchildren, Tyler Sonnier, Keagen Sonnier, Jacie Faulk, Ryan Faulk and Karson Richard.
Glynne was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell and Gladys Gillentine; one brother, John Gillentine; one brother-in-law, Vernon Hair.
Funeral services for Glynne Farrar Gillentine, 79 of Gueydan, were held at the First United Methodist Church in Gueydan on Feb. 15, at 2 p.m. with Reverend La Marylis Cotten officiating.
Burial followed in Gueydan Cemetery, where he was honored with full Military Rites.
A gathering of family and friends began on Feb 14, from 2:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. Visitation resumed at 8 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 15, and continued until the time of his service at 2 p.m.
Carrying Glynne to his final resting place in Gueydan Cemetery were B.J. Touchet, Greg Hebert, Lyle Zaunbrecher, Randy Simon, Evans Bourque and Shawn Theriot.
Honorary pallbearers were Jack Hair, Dennis McMurry, Glen Hebert, Wilfred Woods, Leward Abshire, Jay Gillentine and Kyle Gillentine.

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ethel Klumpp Young announces her passing on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at Huntsville Memorial Hospital at the age of 86.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Evangeline. Rite of Committal will follow in the Reed Cemetery in Tee Mamou with Father Paul LaFleur Celebrant.
Ethel was a wonderful cook and loved raising chickens and gardening, but of most of all she loved her family. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, friend, and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her, especially her son, Russel M. Young Jr and wife Carole of Basile; her sister, Mary Klumpp Johnson of Basile; her three grandchildren, Stephanie, Rebecca and Erin and one great-grandson, Jack; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Russel M. Young Sr; her parents, Phillip and Vernice Beard Klumpp; and her two brothers, Walter and Paul Klumpp.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, Feb. 16, from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. and again on Wednesday, Feb. 17, from 8 a.m. until 9:15 a.m. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Rhonda Lynn Fontenot, 50, at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at St. Aloysius Catholic Chapel in Midland with Rev. Clint Trahan as celebrant.
The family has requested visitation be held at Duhon Funeral Home, LLC, Crowley and begin at 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16, with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday at 8 a.m. until just prior to the time of service.
Interment will follow the church service and will be in LeBlanc Cemetery in Midland.
Mrs. Fontenot passed away on Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Rhonda was a native and lifetime resident of Midland and a loving mother, grandmother and wife and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a graduate of McNeese State University in Lake Charles with a bachelor’s degree in education and was a retired seventh grade teacher.
She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Mitchell Fontenot of Midland; daughters, Shavaun F. Miller of Midland and Desiré F. Farmer and husband Dustin Farmer of Trout; three grandchildren, Dylan Miller, Emmie Miller and Jaxson Farmer; father, Willard Henry of Midland; two brothers, Willard “Poncho” Henry Jr. and wife Delonda of Mermentau Cove and Lyle Henry of Morse.
Mrs. Fontenot was preceded in death by her mother, Patty Hebert Henry; father-in-law, Lloyd Fontenot; and mother-in-law, Bertha Fontenot.
Pallbearers will be Russell Fontenot, Dylan Miller, Colby Henry, Tyler Fontenot, Lyle Henry and Randy Fontenot Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Rena Trumps Sonnier, 94, who died at 2 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, in Gueydan.
Deacon Paul Matte will conduct the service.
Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation may be observed from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. until service time on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Friday.
Mrs. Rena was born July 16, 1921, in Egan. She was a lifelong member of St. Michaels Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and delivered Communion to shut-ins. She was active in the Rice City Senior Citizens Club. She was a legal secretary for Jerry Harmon and worked many years for the Duson Brothers.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan S. Riley and husband Paul of Garland, Texas, and Jane S. Shortt and husband Larry of San Antonio, Texas; three sons, John Sonnier of Hinesville, Georgia, Steven Sonnier and wife Beatrice of Kaplan and Bill Sonnier and wife Ginger of Dallas, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Amos and Edna Vigee Trumps; her husband, Edward Sonnier; a sister, Genevieve Meaux; and a brother, Truman Trumps.

Ryder Scot Trull

On Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016, angels lifted Ryder Trull through the gates of heaven, following his valiant nine-month battle against acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, where he was surrounded by his parents and family. His short two years of life were punctuated by so many momentous events, which are now the cherished memories of his life in our family.
Born on Christmas Day 2013, to the delight of his parents, Ryder was the long-awaited blessing they had fervently prayed for, made all the more special because he shared his birthday with Jesus. Several weeks after his birth, family and friends joined with the proud parents as Ryder was dedicated to The Lord with the entire congregation at Our Savior’s Church in Lafayette. As Kayla and Nathan began their life as parents, they held so many hopes and aspirations for Ryder’s future.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 20, at 11 a.m. in Our Savior’s Church, 1201 E. Broussard Road in Lafayette, for Ryder Scot Trull, age 2.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Reverend Randy Dugas will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include his father, Nathan Scot Trull, and his mother, Kayla Michelle Broussard; his paternal grandparents, Beverly Schilling and Daron Trull; maternal grandparents, Chris Broussard and Cathy Soileau; step-grandparents, Buddy Schilling, Jennifer Broussard and Anissa Trull; maternal great-grandmother, Judith Perrault; and maternal great-grandfather, Russel (Puggy) Broussard; paternal-great grandmothers, Madge Byard and Sharon Trull; and paternal great-grandfathers, David Hodge, Tom Byard and Dan Trull Jr.; his aunts, Paige Broussard, Grace Schilling and Maggie Schilling; uncles, Gavin Scroggins and Trey Schilling; great-uncle, Thomas Byard; and great-aunt, April Byard.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Norman Soileau; and great-grandmother, Anna Broussard.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Byard, Jeremy Sanchon, Gavin Scroggins and Tyler Vining.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille’s Southside location on Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will continue on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
A Rosary will be prayed on Friday, Feb. 19, at 7 p.m. in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.

Rayne - Funeral services were held for Lillie R. Beard, 96, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 2016, at Elizabeth Memorial Baptist Church in Branch, LA with Brother Kevin Colson officiating.
The family requested that visitation be held at Duhon Funeral Home, LLC of Rayne, LA on Sunday, February 21, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and resume on Monday at 8:00 a.m. until just prior to the time of service.
Interment followed the church service and was in Elizabeth Memorial Cemetery in Branch, LA.
Mrs. Beard passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Southwind Nursing Center in Crowley, LA.
Mrs. Beard is survived by her daughter, Marjorie B. Weekley of Rayne, LA; son, John W. Beard and his wife, Jeanette Gautreaux Beard, also of Rayne, LA; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivy Beard; parents, Richard Robinson and Elizabeth Brown Robinson and four sisters, Bertha Stark, Wava Quibodeaux, Ollie Harmon and Amy Godeau.
Pallbearers were Lonnie Thibodeaux, Randy Thibodeaux, Stacey Thibodeaux, Michael Powers, Michael Beard and Patrick O’Meara.

RAYNE –– Edzard Joseph “Rabbit” Charles, 61, of Rayne, LA, died February 1, 2016, at his home in Rayne, LA where he was surrounded by his loved ones.
Edzard was born in Rayne, LA on May 8, 1954. 
Edzard served in the United States Navy for several years and was later employed by Crowley Rice Mill in Crowley LA.
Edzard enjoyed spending time with his family. His favorite pastimes were playing dominoes, fishing, hunting, listening to music, and sitting outside enjoying the sun and last but not least reading the Bible.
He was truly a man of God, a faithful warrior with a compassionate heart who shared the goodness of Jesus with everyone.
Edzard is survived by his wife, Kathy Mire-Charles, of 9 years; Children, Jared Charles, Chetwin Cole, Neisha Cole, Shalana Traylar, Edzard Traylar, and Ezra Charles; Parents, Chester Charles and Joyce Charles; brothers: Romel Charles (Yvonne), Leo Charles, Chester Charles Jr., Darrell Charles, Keel Charles (Latikka), Matthew Charles, and Paul Charles; sisters, Lois Portalis, Judy Charles, Alice Deculit (Tim), Ezora Thomas, Paula Wilcox (Gift), and Chessalina Charles; and grandkids (whom he loved dearly), nieces, nephews, along with many relatives and friends to cherish his memory and legacy.
Edzard was preceded in death by Lionel Charles (brother); Tina Charles, (sister); grandparents, Moses and Alma Johnson and Thomas and Alice Charles.
Louisiana Funeral Services & Crematory of Broussard LA fulfilled Edzard’s wishes on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, and a memorial service is being planned for the near future in his honor.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Progressive Baptist Church of Iota for Stephany Guillory Joseph, 62, who died at 10:02 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by her family and pastor, Bishop Shelton Bady.
Rev. Samuel West, pastor of Progressive Baptist Church, will conduct the services. Visitation may be observed on Friday, Feb. 26, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until service time.
Burial will follow in the Iota Community Cemetery.
Mrs. Joseph was born Sept. 24, 1953, in Lafayette and was raised in Iota. She graduated from Iota High School and went on to earn her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from McNeese State University. Mrs. Stephany taught school in both Louisiana and Texas for over 40 years.
She was a devoted Christian and was active as a minister at the Harvest Time Church in Houston. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin and will be missed by all.
She is survived by her son, Marlon Joseph and wife Monique Joseph of Humble, Texas; two grandchildren, Asia and Taylor; a brother, Michael Hebert of Riverside, California; four sisters, Dorthea Hebert of Church Point, Belinda Faye Hebert of Lafayette, Tamara Willis-Buckley of Denver, Colorado, and Traci Willis of Los Angeles, California; two aunts, Kathy Willis of Lafayette and Marva Landry of Iota; and an uncle, Earl Guillory of Lake Charles.
She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Dorthy and Michael Hebert; her father, Leroy Willis; and one sister, Harriet St. Andre.

Shirley Everitt Kilgore

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 1, at 2 p.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley for Shirley Everitt Kilgore, 82, who died Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at 7:55 p.m. surrounded by her loving family at Southwind Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
After working at KTRH radio and Transco in Houston, Shirley married Thomas D. Kilgore in 1954. They moved to Crowley in 1961 where they continue to reside. Shirley was devoted to her family and also enjoyed participating in Beta Sigma Phi, Les Dames Acadienne, the Red Bobbin Quilting Circle, American Legion Hospital Auxillary and substitute teaching at Crowley High School. Her legacy to her children was to pass on her love for reading, music, crafting and travel.
Fr. Mikel Polson, pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family will receive friends following the Mass at St. Michael Parish Hall. Inurnment will take place at Forest Park-Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas, at a later date.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Thomas D. Kilgore of Crowley; two sons, Kerry Kilgore and wife Karrie Kilgore of Crowley and Kevin Kilgore of Austin, Texas; four daughters, Kristi Ross and husband Bryan of Lochapoka, Alabama, Kendra Terry of Dallas, Texas, Karen Fuselier and husband Lloyd of Baton Rouge and Kathryn Thibeaux and husband Patrick of Houston; two sisters, Muriel Kessler of Houston and Grace Vaughn of Davis, California; two brothers, Joe Everitt and wife Justine of Surprise, Arizona, and John Everitt and wife Sandi of Engleside, Florida; seven grandchildren, Gregory Thibeaux and wife Stephanie, Eleanor Thibeaux, Geofrey Thibeaux and wife Brittany, Danielle Fuselier, Gabriel Fuselier and wife Elizabeth, Joshua Kilgore and Abigail Kilgore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Kay Everitt; two brothers, Fr. Ed Everitt, OP, and Tommy Everitt; one sister, Judith Everitt; and son-in-law, Michael Terry.
The family is grateful for the compassionate care Shirley received from Southwind Nursing Center in her final years. Also Cynthia Jones, Paula Istre, Sandra Kibodeaux, Dr. Robert Aertker III, Cheryl Trahan and Kristin Istre for their dedication and care of Mrs. Kilgore these last few weeks. They also wish to thank the staffs of Acadia General Hospital and Lamm Family Care Hospice.

Joyce Zaunbrecher Faulk

Rayne –– Elizabeth Joyce Zaunbrecher Faulk, 86-years-old, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, native and lifelong resident of Rayne, LA, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at 9:35 a.m.
She was born on September 5, 1929, only child of the late Alton William Zaunbrecher and the late Monique Petitjean Zaunbrecher.
She is survived by four daughters, Angela Faulk Wall and husband, William, Jr., of Baton Rouge, Sheila Faulk of Rayne, Donna Faulk Pasquier and husband, Michael, of Tomball, TX, and Madelene Faulk Boudreaux and husband, Ricky, of Rayne; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 4 step-great-grandchildren.
Preceding Mrs. Faulk in death were her husband of 48 years, Stanley Roger Faulk; grandchild, Dustin Boudreaux; great-grandchild, Elle Ava Boudreaux; and grandparents, Henry Zaunbrecher and Helena Stamm Zaunbrecher, and Emile Jean Baptiste Petitjean and Sophie Sonnier Petitjean.
During her lifetime, Joyce was an active member and past president of the Rayne Garden Club. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, and served many years as Master Judge of Flower Shows, as well as a Master Landscape Design Critic, certified by the National Council of State Garden Clubs, Inc. Mrs. Faulk was a forty-year member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court Rayne No. 844. Besides her love of gardening, she enjoyed playing bridge with lifelong friends, and was happiest when fishing with her husband, Stanley, at Toledo Bend Lake.
Friends and family were invited to attend the visitation on Monday, February 29, 2016, from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne. A rosary was recited by Catholic Daughters of America on Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rayne, with entombment following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery No. 2 Mausoleum. Father Kevin Bordelon, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, serves as celebrant.
Serving as pallbearers were her grandsons, William Wall, III, Thomas Mitchell Andrus, Jordan Andrus, Michael Pasquier, John Pasquier, Bryan Boudreaux, and Ben Boudreaux.
The family wishes to express gratitude to her caretakers for their exceptional care, and to Heart of Hospice for its support during her last days.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, or to Rayne Catholic Memorial Fund.

Rayne- Funeral Services were held for William J. “Joe” Carter, 76, at 6:00PM on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Duhon Funeral Home, LLC-Rayne Chapel with Rev. Bryan Johnson officiating. The family requested visitation begin at 10:00 AM on Wednesday until just prior to service time and resumed until 8:00PM. Interment will be at a later date. Mr. Carter passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at his residence in Rayne, LA.
Joe was a native of Sicily Island, LA and a longtime resident of Rayne, LA. He served his country honorably in the U.S Army as well as the U. S. Navy and was a Wireline Supervisor prior to his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, working on old vehicles and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Carter is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Joy Carter of Rayne, LA; children, Karen Carter Lyons and her husband, Billy of Lafayette, LA, Terry J. Carter and his wife, Lisa of West Monroe, LA, Gary L. Carter and his wife, June of Mire, LA and William “Billy” J. Carter, Jr. and his wife, Melissa of Duson, LA; step-children, Tamra, Bill, Raymond and Michael; grandchildren, Crystal, Madelyn, Chandler, Rachael, Jay, Jeremy, Ashley, Eric, Kyle, Madison, MacKenzie, Lacey, Lauren, Lexi, Coby and Kevin; great –grandchildren, Kolston, Hudson, Goldie, Rylee, Raegan , Paislee and Carter ; brothers, Dale Carter and Jimmy Carter as well as one sister, Linda Carter Burnside.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Carter and Eula Mae Bryant Carter as well as six siblings.

RAYNE –– Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Mother of Mercy Church for Dorothy Mae Johnson, 82, who died Friday, February 26, 2016, at her home.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016, from 7 a.m. until time of services at Syrie Funeral Home of Lafayette. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m.
Services will be conducted by Father Richard Wagner, S.S.J.
Interment will be in Our Mother of Mercy Cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Grady (Cynthia) Johnson, of Houston, Texas, and Harold Johnson of Rayne, La.; a daughter, Rockela (Eddie) Johnson; two brothers, Joseph (Erma) Martin of Beaumont, Texas, and Gilbert (Sylvia) Martin of Alexandria, La.; one sister, Levonia Rochon of Rayne, La.; one sister-in-law, Lucille Pierre of Beaumont, Texas; two boys she reared as her sons, Tony Pabum of Houston, Texas, and Larry Malbrough of Church Point, La.; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Josephine Martin; her husband, Thomas Johnson; three sons, John, Kenneth and Rocky Johnson; three brothers, Leroy, Hubert and Wilbert Martin; and a sister, Bernadine Julian.

DUSON–– A Mass of Christian Burial for Diane Theresa DeRouen May, 75, of Duson will be celebrated on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Catholic Church, Duson. Father Aaron Melancon will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lafayette.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in St. Theresa Catholic Church Life Center, with a rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. in the Life Center.
Mrs. May passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016, at 10:11 a.m. in a Lafayette health care facility.
A resident of Duson, Mrs. May was a faithful member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, where she was a member of Catholic Daughters of America. She retired after 20 years of service as a Special Education School Bus Driver for Lafayette Parish School Board. She enjoyed tending to her potted plants, but her greatest joy was spending time with and caring for her family.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Larry May of Duson; daughter, Charlotte May Babineaux and husband, David, of Rayne; son, Dale James May of Lafayette; brother, Michael D. DeRouen and wife, Wanda, of Carencro; and grandson, Taylor Scott Babineaux of Mire. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Preceding Mrs. May in death were her parents, Evern “Joe” DeRouen and Lucille May DeRouen

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 4, at the Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Norma Faye Perry Kibodeaux, 66, who died at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, surrounded by her loved ones.
Deacon Paul Matte will celebrate the service and she will be cremated as her wishes after the funeral service. Visitation will be observed on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until service time.
Momma Faye was born July 13, 1949, in Crowley to the late Willie Perry Sr. and Laura Mae Duhon. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be missed by all she touched. She loved large family gatherings, cooking and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence “T-Boy” Kibodeaux; three daughters, Anissa Kibodeaux, Angela K. Deslatte and husband George and April K. Dupuis and husband Wayne, all of Crowley; one son, Lawrence “Boo” Kibodeaux of Austin, Texas; five brothers, Joe Perry, Wayne Perry, Ronald Perry, Donnie Perry, all of Crowley, and Willie Perry Jr. of Mire; two sisters, Rose Hoffpauir of Rayne and Sharon Martin of Lafayette; six grandchildren, Tara Doucet, Tristan Arcemont, Tayler Doucet, Hunter Dupuis, Hayden Dupuis and Harley Dupuis; and her mother-in-law, Thelma Kibodeaux Girard of Crowley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Barbara Perry Rowe, Laura Perry Rowe and Nolia Ann Perry Benenhaley; one brother, Harold James Perry; and her grandmother, Nolia Menard Duhon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at the Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Eddie Charles Simoneaux, 91, who died at 2:40 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016, in Crowley.
Fr. Robert C. Cavalier will celebrate the Mass and the committal service at the Woodlawn Mausoleum. Visitation may be observed on Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time. The Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Friday.
Mr. Simoneaux was born Oct. 10, 1924, in Assumption Parish to the late Jean and Julie Simoneaux. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II, having served time with the military police in Guam. He loved fishing, family gatherings and especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Iris Villejoin Simoneaux of Crowley; four sons, Larry Charles Simoneaux (Jackie) of Lake Charles, Gerald Wayne Simoneaux (Connie) of Lafayette, Michael James Simoneaux (Pamela) of Fulton, Mississippi, and Daniel Ray Simoneaux (Geraldine) of Crowley; eight grandchildren, Brent Simoneaux, Neil Simoneaux, Paige S. Boone, Jason Simoneaux, Craig Simoneaux, Matt Simoneaux, Bryson Simoneaux, Candace Simoneaux and fourteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters, Ida Leblanc, Elaine Blanchard, Marie Simoneaux, Vivian Cavalier, Adeline Simoneaux and Catherine Autin; and two brothers, Phillip Simoneaux and Alvin Simoneaux.
