
A Mass of Christian burial for Willie Bernard Jr., 74, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 30, in St. Teresa Catholic Church in Crowley. Father Godwin Imoru will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, under direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings. Visitation will be at 8 a.m. in the church. A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m.
Mr. Bernard entered into eternal rest Wednesday, April 20, 2016, in his residence. He was a native of Crowley and lived in Houston,Texas. He was a member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Houston. He retired as a machine operator for Chrysler Corporation after 32 years of service.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife, Madlyn Bernard of Houston; children, Leslie Terrell Gonzalez and Torrie Bernard, both of Houston, and Tara Bernard and Tonette (Darol) Stoneham, both of Hockley, Texas; two sisters, Willie Mae Minix and Rosemary Bernard, both of Crowley; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
