Martha Falcon Richard

Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Saturday, May 7, at a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. for Martha Falcon Richard, 74, who died Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Lafayette General Southwest Campus, Lafayette.
Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne.
Surviving are her son, Lenis Joseph “Joey” Richard III and wife Greta of Rayne; grandson, Alex Michael Richard of Rayne; sister, Audrey Falcon Alleman of Lafayette; two brothers, Alvin Falcon Sr. and wife Barbara of Mire and Jim Falcon of Duson.
She was preceded in death by husband, Lenis Joseph “L.J” Richard: father, Sosthene Falcon; mother, Lelia Credeur Falcon; two brothers, Joseph Mabry Falcon and Harold Falcon; and sister, Lou Ella Falcon.
Mrs. Martha graduated from St. Joseph High School then went on to get her LPN. She worked for Rayne Branch Hospital for several years.
A rosary was recited at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 6, at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
Friends were received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Friday, May 6, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., and Saturday, May 7, from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Pallbearers were be Joe Alleman, Terrell “Terry” Alleman, Gary Alleman, Jason Hanks, Toby Falcon, and Christopher “Chris” Falcon.
Honorary pallbearer was Alvin Falcon Jr..
