A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2016 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Iota for James Malcom “Mackie” Leger, 69, who died April 28, 2016 in Lafayette.
Fr. Billy Massie, associate pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
He is survived by one sister, Rhonda L. Courville and her husband, Gerald of Spring, Texas; his niece, Paige Courville of Houston; and his nephew, Kyle Courville and his wife, Lauren of Houston.
Mackie is preceded in death by his parents, Frank “Keno” and Eula Doucet Leger; and one brother, Samuel Craig Leger.
