Helen Jean Arnold Oubre passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016, at the age of 87.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eula Fenton; her loving husband, Alvie Edwin “Tommy” Oubre; and granddaughter, Allison Yvonne Oubre.
Jean was the mother of Michael Oubre (Shyrlene), and the late Sandra Jane Oubre. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Erin and Danielle Oubre, Caitlin Oubre Wilson (Geoffrey) and Kaleb and Tyler Freeman.
Jean was a life-long, active member of First Baptist Church of Crowley, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Crowley Art Association. She was a gifted artist and singer her entire life. She leaves behind many friends and relatives who enjoyed her talents and gifts.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at First Baptist Church, 228 E. 4th St., Crowley, on Friday, April 1, at 11 a.m., with visitation at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s memory to First Baptist Church in Crowley.
