Darren was born in Gueydan on Oct. 12, 1966, to Lee Calvin Breaux and Linda Theriot Breaux. He was called to his Heavenly Father on March 24, 2016.
Darren loved the outdoors, he loved his family, fishing, camping and doing any kind of work outside. Darren also enjoyed doing wood work. Most of all he loved to spend time with his daughter, Allison. Darren was a very generous person who loved to help others any way he could. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
Darren is survived by his parents, Lee C. (Laura) Breaux of Morse; Linda T. Breaux (Donald Whitman) of Gueydan; one daughter, Allison Breaux of Gueydan; three brothers, Shawn Theriot (Nancy) of Gueydan, Dexter Breaux (Tonya) of Midland and Corey Theriot (Kelli) of Gueydan; five sisters, Donna Breaux (Joel) of Welsh, Deana Corumia (Harold) of Crowley, Derinda Landry (Kenneth) of Jennings, Ashley Medus (Jared) of Lyons Point and Barbara Clement of Gueydan.
Darren was preceded in death by one sister, Shanna Rodriquez.
Funeral services for Darren “Poop” Breaux, 49 of Lake Arthur, were held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Gueydan on Saturday, March 26, at 11 a.m. with Father Clint Trahan officiating. Visitation was held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Gueydan beginning on Friday, March 25, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of his service with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Friday.
Carrying Darren to his final resting place in Gueydan Cemetery were Chad Breaux, Jordan Breaux, Jerry Vincent, Torey Breaux, Drey Wise, Cortreban Matthews, and Bryce Theriot.
