Funeral Services will be held at a later day for Melvin L. Fontenot, 69, who passed away at his home in Rayne surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 12:45 P.M.
Survivors include his wife, Angela R. Fontenot; one Daughter, Christina Meche of Egan; one brother, Amay Fontenot, Jr. of Roberts Cove and one sister, Betty F. Spallino of Crowely; four grandchildren, Christopher Lee Meche, Nancy I. Istre, Jesse James Meche and Blaizyn Swearingen; three great-grandchildren, Alanna Istre, Hunter Istre and Aria Istre.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Amay and Beulah Fontenot, Sr.; one brother, James L. Fontenot.
